Hero MotoCorp unveiled Vision on Mobility, Innovation and Technology at Hero World 2020. The bikemaker revealed that it would invest more than Rs 10,000 crore in the next 5 to 7 years. Apart from this, the company has expanded its premium motorcycle portfolio with Hero Extreme 160R, which will come in March 2020. BS6 Compliant Hero Passion Pro, Glamor and Xpals 200 Rally Kit were also unveiled at the event.
The 2020 Hero Glamor is offered in BS6 variants, the gyms are minor design changes and tweaked hardware. The entry-level drum brake variant is available for Rs 68900 and the premium disc brake model for Rs 72400. All these prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The bike comes in four color schemes Candy Red, Sports Red, Techno Blue and Tornado Gray. The 2020 Hero gives Glamor a new 125cc engine power, which generates 10.73 Bhp at 7500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of maximum torque at 6000 rpm.
This makes it 19 percent more powerful than the BS4 motor. The updated model has also ditched into a 4 speed gearbox or 5 speed transmission unit. Updated glamor like the new Hero bikes also comes with the brand’s i3s (Idol start-stop system) and auto cell technology.
The bike is built on an all new rigid diamond frame and stands at 20 percent higher ground clearance. Its front suspension travel 14 and rear suspension travel have been increased by 10 percent. The bike has 240 mm front disc brakes. Other updates include a revised instrument cluster with rear time fuel economy indicator and pilot lamps with smoke finish included.
