7 athletes and 17 support staff training abroad have not received both doses of vaccine

Kolkata: There are 7 athletes and 17 support staff participating in the Tokyo Olympics, who have not yet received both doses of the corona vaccine. Concerned about this, the Sports Ministry on Monday sought help from the Ministry of External Affairs. These athletes are practicing abroad to prepare for the Olympics.

These players include country’s number 1 javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, boxer Manish Kaushik, Satish Kumar, Pooja Rani and Simranjit Kaur. Along with these athletes, two doses of vaccine of two wrestlers Ravi Dahiya and Deepak Punia have not been completed yet. 

Now these players will be given vaccines in the Indian High Commission in different countries where they are training. 

Shooters Rahi Sarnovat, Saurabh Choudhary, Deepak Kumar Jagrev of Croatia and tennis player Ankita Raina are now going to administer the second dose of the Kovid vaccine from the Indian High Commission in London.
