Bengaluru Bulls beat Gujarat in the second eliminator, will take on Delhi in the semi-finals

Gujarat Giants defeated Bengaluru Bulls 49-29 in the second eliminator of Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bangalore on Monday. With this win, where Bengaluru Bulls secured their place in the semi-finals, Gujarat Giants’ journey came to an end tonight. In this match, the Bulls performed brilliantly in both the departments. Pawan Sehrawat scored the maximum 13 raid points in the match, while Mahender Singh completed his high-5.

Saurabh Nandal and Aman also performed brilliantly and made 4-4 tackles. On the other hand, none of the raiders from Gujarat could touch the 10 points mark. HS Rakesh got 8 raid points, while Parvesh Bhainswal sent three players outside the mat. Bengaluru Bulls will now face Dabang Delhi in the semi-finals on 23 February.

Bulls start with a bang

Bengaluru Bulls won the toss and invited Gujarat Giants to raid first. Ajay Kumar went to the first raid for Giants and Aman tackled him and gave a great start to the Bulls. Tackling Rakesh Narwal from Aman gave the Bulls the lead. After this, the pair of Pawan Sehrawat and Chandran Ranjeet showed a great game and took a 22-17 lead.

In the last five minutes of the first half, Gujarat made a comeback and brought the Bulls close to all-out. By super tackle HS Rakesh in the last raid of the first half, Jaideep saved the Bulls from all-out and led the team 24-17. Mahender Singh made three tackles in this half, Pawan scored 9 and Ranjit scored 7 points. For Gujarat, HS Rakesh scored 6 and Mahender Rajput scored 4.

Bulls reach semi-finals with all-round play

In the second half, Bharat again saved the all-out by dismissing Girish Maruti Ernak. After this, India did a super raid and brought the Giants close by all-out. Tackling Rakesh, Mahendra Singh completed his high-5 and gave the Giants a lead of 10 points by all-out. After this Pawan completed his super raid. Bulls’ scintillating game continued and they took a 42-26 lead.

Parvesh Bhainswal tried to make a comeback with a super tackle to Pawan, but in the very next raid, Saurabh Nandal settled the score by tackling Rakesh. Pawan dismissed the Giants by dismissing Parvesh Bhainswal. This allout confirmed the ticket of the Bulls to the semi-finals. The Bulls defeated the Giants 49-29 to reach the semi-finals. Journey to the Giants is over.
