Haridwar. BHEL’s CFFP unit has set a new record by manufacturing and supplying the heaviest and longest rotor forgings ever built. BHEL Executive Director Sanjay Gulati flagged it off. This rotor forging has been supplied to BHEL Hyderabad in respect of orders received from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam.
Congratulating the employees on the successful construction of rotor forgings, Sanjay Gulati said that only with the combined efforts and hard work of all, we have been able to achieve this feat.
He said that high technical efficiency and skill are required to build such a large rotor. BHEL has proved this by successfully manufacturing this rotor. It is noteworthy that this rotor weighing 29 MT and manufactured in CFFP’s Forge shop is 7.9 meters long and is an important step towards the Make in India mission.
