Toyota Kirloskar Motor has silently upgraded its full-size Fortuner SUV to compete with the BS6 emission norms. The Unliche car from previous speculations retails 2.7 liter petrol and 2.8 liter diesel drivetrans. Toyota has not hiked the price of BS6 Fortuner. The car continues to offer the base petrol trim at a starting price of 28.18 lakhs.
For the top end diesel variants, this price reaches 34.10 lakh rupees. Price X is the showroom. The petrol motor of the car generates 163.7 hp of maximum power along with 245 Nm peak torque at 4000 rpm at 5200 rpm. On the other hand, the oil burner produces 174.5 hp and 420 Nm of torque.
Petrol trims with only 2WD configuration, while diesel variants have a 4 x 4 configuration optional. Transmission duties in both petrol and diesel versions are ten-care by a 6-speed manual transmission along with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
