Rohit Sharma Not opening the innings: Team India captain Virat Kohli has surprised with his decision against New Zealand (India vs Newzealand) in the T20 World Cup-2021. Team India has got a new opening pair in this important match of Super-12 stage. Young batsman Ishan Kishan has landed as the opening partner of KL Rahul. With this it was also decided that vice-captain Rohit Sharma would bat in the middle order. Rohit has been opening in international cricket since 2011. This is the second time that Rohit has not come out to open.
Ishaan Kishan’s bat did not work
Ishan Kishan’s bat, who came to the opening, did not play in this match. He was given a place in the team in place of Suryakumar Yadav, but he disappointed. He has opened 79 times in 104 innings for India in T20I cricket and has scored over 2,300 runs out of a total of 2864 runs in the shortest format of the game. Rohit last did not bat opening for India in T20I in February 2020. This match was also against New Zealand.
