Action has been taken against those who spit in public places, consuming alcohol and those who consume gutkha-tobacco in public places.

He said that 9 thousand 475 people have been arrested so far for violating prohibitory and quarantine norms and registered 3 thousand 696 FIRs. Under the prohibition and MV Act, invoices of 10 lakh 30 thousand 385 vehicles and 1 lakh 69 thousand 484 vehicles were seized and more than Rs 18 crore 86 lakh fine has been recovered.
Mr. Lather informed that 28 thousand 461 persons have been arrested in the state on charges of breach of peace under the provisions of CRPC. So far, 219 cases have been filed against social media abuses and 302 anti-social elements have been prosecuted and 232 have been arrested. (Agency)
