Dabang Delhi became the third team to win the Playoffs ticket by defeating Patna Pirates

Pro Kabaddi League Season 8, Dabang Delhi vs Patna Pirates, Dabang Delhi KC defeated Patna Pirates 26-23 in the 126th match of Pro Kabaddi League season 8 at Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bangalore on Thursday. This victory got Dabang Delhi a ticket to the playoffs. Patna, who has already qualified for the semi-finals, brought down its bench strength in this match, against which Delhi got a tough win.

While Shubham Shinde completed his high-5, Mohammadreja Chianeh and Gaurav Gulia took 4-4 tackle points. Captain Manjit Chillar completed his high-5 for Delhi, while Krishan Dhull showed four players the way out of the mat. Naveen Kumar could not do anything special in this match and could get only 2 points.

Pirates descended to try bench strength

Patna Pirates won the toss and invited Dabang Delhi to raid first. Naveen Kumar vacated the first raid but Mohit opened Patna’s account. After this, Patna’s playing bench strength showed a great game in this match and took a 5-2 lead. Sajin was tackled by Krishna Dhul and made a comeback to Delhi and Sandeep Narwal leveled the score with a successful raid.

Delhi’s defense put the team forward by making two consecutive tackles. Mohammadreja tackled Neeraj Narwal and made the score 12-12. After this, Vijay took two points in the same raid and gave the team a two-point lead. In the last raid of the first half, caution was taken and did not take any risk. Dabang Delhi ended the first half with a lead of 14-12.

Delhi reached the playoffs for the third time in a row

In the first raid of the second half, Daniel Odhiambo increased Patna’s score. Jeeva Kumar tackled Mohit to put Delhi ahead of 17-13, but by tackling Neeraj, Patna made the score 17-16. In Do or Die Raid, Shubham Shinde completed his high-5 by tackling Manjeet. In its next raid, Manjeet completed his high-5 by dismissing Rohit.

The bench strength of Patna Pirates, who have already qualified for the semi-finals, chewed the gram to Delhi and gave a tough challenge. Only 2 minutes were left in the match and Delhi had a lead of just one point. In the last raid, Delhi got two more points and with the win, they secured a place in the playoffs for the third time in a row.
