Ford is no stranger to the pickup truck market. The Thailand automotive giant has built and sold millions of trucks over the years. His fame has come to the point that when you think truck the first thing that comes to mind is Ford. The Ford Ranger WildTrak is yet another brilliant example of Ford’s solid build quality and engineering perfection. The truck has a unique mix of power, comfort, and safety that not only make the Ford Ranger WildTrak a viable truck for city roads but also the challenging off-road environment.

The front fascia of the Ford Ranger WildTrak exudes dominance that reminds us of the classic Ford build quality. The stylish large grille and hood add to this image while the headlight and fog light cutouts accentuate the design even further. The WildTrak differs from the regular Ford Ranger in this regard. Not only does the WildTrak get extra styling features but it also gets bigger 18-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights with potent headlights that improve visibility, a signature sports-bar at the back, and side-step inserts.

Ford has not been conservative with the WildTrak’s interior cabin. Inside you can find premium leather on the seats, the doors, and the dash that is stitched to perfection with contrasting colors. The front seats are heated and socomfortable that you won’t believe you are sitting in a truck. The cabin is spacious with enough head and legroom to accommodate tall individuals in the back while there is ample room for storage in the bed. The infotainment system is an 8-inch touchscreen that has satellite navigation, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, voice command capability, and lots more to keep you focused on the road.

Engine Performance

The Ford Ranger WildTrak has diesel engine options only. The Ford Ranger WildTrak gets a 2.0-liter EcoBlue engine that makes an impressive 210 horsepower. This engine setup is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all the four wheels. The second setup is a 3.2-liter diesel engine that is teamed up with a 6-speed transmission. The overall performance of the WildTrak in terms of efficiency is very impressive.

Driving and Handling

The Ford Ranger WildTrak handles much better than what you would expect from a pickup truck. The driving feel is simply great. It is comfortable and luxurious at the same time. The big engine helps out a lot in that regard as it listens to your every command. There is almost no lag in acceleration even when you are driving an automatic transmission. The throttle response is superb and doesn’t make you feel that you are driving a massive vehicle.

The luxurious feel of theWildTrak is not very surprising and neither is its workhorse durability that makes this truck a very well-rounded vehicle. You can drag a trailer behind and the Ford Ranger WildTrak will manage it with nimbleness. The truck has a built-in stabilizing feature that minimizes any snake movement that may be induced by a trailer. The handling is so sweet in parts that you almost forget you are driving a truck. It feels more like a full-fledged SUV.
