The Indian cricket team has found a great batsman in Shreyas Iyer. Iyer recently did well in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. He scored half-centuries in all the matches of this series. After the last match of this series, Iyer answered the question asked about the T20 World Cup. He also reacted to his weakness during the batting.
India defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the last match of the T20 series. After this match, Shreyas was asked whether he has confirmed his place in Team India for the T20 World Cup? Responding to this question, Iyer said, “I think it would be wrong to think this way at this point of time. I cannot say anything about cementing a place in the team, because as I said there is a lot of competition in the team. ”
Team India’s Batsman Iyer also reacted to the short balls. Asked about the weakness against short balls, Iyer said, “To be honest, I haven’t worked on it. I am playing the way I am used to playing. If the mutual mindset is right then you can play any ball.
He said, “If you think short ball is my weakness, then it doesn’t matter to me. Of course I have reached this level only while facing the short ball. You do not need to prepare separately for this.
