Healthy Sweet Recipe Using Oats: Oats Apple Phirni

Oats are also good for your blood sugar and cholesterol. Apples contain dietary fiber and minerals as well as vitamins A, C and K. Apples are also full of dietary fiber which is beneficial in reducing blood cholesterol levels.

This recipe gives you the calcium and dairy protein within its milk, which is a good source of nutrition. A must try healthy recipe with additions like nuts. Also, this recipe is suitable for diabetics due to the low sugar content in it.

Oats (coarse powder) – 15 grams
Grated apple (unpeeled) – cup
Milk – 1 cup (100 ml)
Almonds / Walnuts (crushed) – 1 tsp
Flaxseed (roasted) – 1 tsp

> Bring milk to a boil in a large nonstick saucepan.
> Add oats and stir continuously for 2 minutes on medium flame.
> After removing from the flame, keep it aside to cool down a bit.
> Mix apples, walnuts, almonds and flaxseeds with roasted flaxseeds and then refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes.
> It is ready to be served. Serve cold.
