Home market index Nifty closed above 14,100 and Sensex closed above 48,000 level

Mumbai On Monday, the first day of the trading week, the two major indices of the domestic stock market closed at record levels. The index Nifty closed above 14,100 and the Sensex closed above the 48,000 level.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 30-share sensitive index Sensex gained 307.82 points, or 0.64 percent, to 48,176.80 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share index Nifty gained 114.40 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 14,132.90. Happened.

Tata Steel, Hindalco, Eicher Motors, ONGC and TCS were the top gainers on the Nifty. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, Adani Ports and Asian Paints were the top losers. Barring banking stocks, all other sectoral indices closed in the green led by metal, IT, auto and pharma. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices each recorded a gain of over one per cent. Today, 2061 stocks advanced, 973 shares declined and 158 shares closed unchanged.
