new Delhi. Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has announced that 155 dealerships have reopened across the country after getting the necessary clearances from local authorities to resume operations. This includes 118 showrooms and 155 service outlets in total. The government relaxed restrictions in conducting economic activities last week.
The company said in a statement that HCIL is closely working with all dealerships to ensure strict adherence to the norms set by the government as well as comprehensive guidelines on cleanliness, safety and distance issued by the company.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for dealerships include preparation of dealerships, equipment fitness checks, personal safety and hygiene equipment availability, staff preparation, and preparation before starting operations in terms of hygiene.
Specific protocols will be followed for entry into the dealership, pre-sales customer test drive, sales activity, getting a car for service, road tests, shop floor handling and finally returning the car to the customer. These safety guidelines are being implemented in places like customer area, back office, shop floor, part storage etc.
