Australia remains in the race

After defeating England in the second Test, India have achieved 1-1 draw in the four-match Test series. If India now defeats England 2–1 or 3–1 in the four-match Test series, it will reach the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).

If England beat India 3-1, then England’s team will reach the final of the World Test Championship. However, if England beat India 2–1, then Australia will reach the final. But if this four-match Test series between England and India draws 1-1 or 2-2, then Australia will reach the final of the WTC and play the final with New Zealand.
