A survey by The Mood of the Consumer Survey by LocalCircles, a community social media platform that discusses people’s issues, revealed that ‘budget/price is the top criterion for festive season shopping this year for 31 per cent of Delhi consumers’. While ‘Security’ for 37 per cent, ‘Selection or Category’ for 11 per cent is the deciding factor. For 21 per cent, ‘convenience is the top priority’.
The survey showed an increase in the percentage of households who planned festival shopping in May. This figure increased to 60 percent in September as compared to 30 percent in May due to the improvement in the situation of Kovid. “The rising prices of petrol, diesel and other commodities are having an impact on the household budget,” the survey said.
The survey received more than 40,000 responses from over 16000 households located across Delhi, of which 65 per cent respondents were males while 35 per cent were females. How will he make the most of his festive shopping this year? To this 38 per cent people said that they would like to buy most of the items “by visiting shops/markets” this festive season. Another 12 per cent said they would like to “buy goods online from stores and 38 per cent said they would like to place orders through online sites or apps”.
