IND vs ENG 4th Test: Pope and Bairstow handled England, the Oval Test became exciting

England vs India 4th Test: England scored 139 for five in their first innings till lunch break on the second day of the fourth Test against India at The Oval, aided by middle-order batsmen Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow. But he is still trailing 52 runs behind India.

By the lunch break, Pope is present at the crease after scoring 38 off 66 balls with the help of five fours and Bairstow scoring 34 runs in 63 balls with the help of seven fours. For India, Umesh Yadav has got three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah has got two wickets so far.

Earlier, England started playing 53 runs for three wickets today and David Malan scored 26 runs and Craig Overton took their innings by one run. But at the beginning of the day’s play, Umesh gave England the fourth blow by dismissing Overton (1). After this, Malan also could not last long and Umesh also made him his victim. Malan scored 31 runs in 67 balls with the help of five fours.

After England’s innings faltering, Ollie Pope and Bairstow took over the hosts and till the lunch break, there was a 77-run partnership for the sixth wicket between the two batsmen.
