India vs Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka created history, won T20 series against India for the first time

Birthday boy Vanindu Hasaranga was the hero of this Sri Lankan victory. In the first bowling, Hasranga took four important wickets for just 9 runs in his four overs. And then played an unbeaten innings of 16 runs in 9 balls with the bat.

India won the ODI series

India had earlier defeated the hosts 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. Now the hosts have leveled the account by defeating him in the T20 series. India won the first T20 match by 38 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series, but the Sri Lankan team leveled the series by winning the second match by four wickets. And now winning the third T20I won the series.

After restricting India to 81 runs, the hosts got the runs they needed to win in 14.3 overs for the loss of three wickets. Avishka Fernando made 12, Minod Bhanuka made 18, Dhananjay de Silva scored 23 not out and Vanindu Hasaranga scored 14 not out. Rahul Chahar took three wickets for India.

Earlier, Sri Lanka restricted the Indian team to 81 runs on the basis of the superb bowling of Wanindu (4/9). India won the toss and decided to bat first in this match, but none of its batsmen could show amazing and the team could score only 81 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav scored the highest 23 runs in 28 balls for Team India. Apart from Hasranga (four wickets) for Sri Lanka, captain Dasun Shanaka took two wickets while Ramesh Mendis and Dushmanta Chamira got one wicket each.
