At the same time, Congress has demanded immediate withdrawal of the increased fares of 392 special trains run by the Railways for the festivals. Party spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh says that the government is looting in the name of Durga Puja, Diwali and special train facilities on Chhath. 35-40 per cent more fare is being charged in special trains.


He said that crores of people have lost their jobs in the country or salary has been cut, in such a situation, instead of giving exemption to those who go home on festivals, the government is charging more money from them.
