IPL 2021: In the match played on Saturday of Indian Premier League season 14, defending champion Mumbai Indians have registered another big win. Mumbai defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs in the match played at Chepauk Stadium. This is Mumbai Indians’ second win in three matches, while the Hyderabad team has suffered three consecutive defeats.
Mumbai Indians, after winning the toss and batting first, scored 150 runs for five wickets. Despite a good start, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen missed out on approaching victory. Chasing a target of 151 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad were piled on for 137 runs in 19.4 overs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad were given an explosive start by Johnny Bairstow (43) and captain David Warner (36) for the first wicket by adding 67 runs from 45 balls to chase down the target of 151 runs from Mumbai Indians.

Hyderabad, however, lost two wickets for 71 runs after that. These include the wicket of Manish Pandey (2) in addition to Bairstow. Bairstow hit three fours and four sixes off 22 balls. Captain Warner was run out on the team score of 90. He hit two fours and as many sixes in 34 balls.
After this, the team went on to lose wickets at regular intervals and remained away from the target by 13 runs. Vijay Shankar gave the victory of 28 runs. At the same time, Virat Singh scored 11 runs.
For Mumbai Indians, Rahul Chahar and Trent Boult took three each, while Krunal Pandya and Jaspreet Bumrah took one wicket each.
Mumbai’s innings was stopped at 150
Earlier, the bowlers of Sunrisers Hyderabad stopped Mumbai Indians for 150 runs with a tight bowling. Mumbai scored 40 off 39 from Quinton de Kock with the help of five fours in 39 balls and in the end Kairan Pollard’s 22-ball unbeaten 35 with the help of one four and three sixes made 150 for five in 20 overs.
For Hyderabad, Vijay Shankar and Mujib ur Rehman took two wickets each, while Khalil Ahmed took one wicket.
