KL Rahul retains possession of Orange Cap, know all about points table

IPL 2021 Points Table Update: The last league round matches of the Indian Premier League season 14 are to be played on Friday. Even before the last two matches, however, the playoff situation is almost clear. On Thursday, KKR sealed their place in the playoffs by defeating Rajasthan Royals by a huge margin of 83 runs. Delhi Capitals, CSK and RCB have already reached the playoffs.

Talking about the points table, Delhi Capitals remains on the first position with 20 points from 13 matches. CSK has 18 points from 14 matches and is in second place. RCB are at the third position with 16 points while KKR have retained the fourth position with 14 points.

Punjab Kings are in fifth place with 12 points and their chances of reaching the playoffs are over. The way to the playoffs for Mumbai Indians, who won the IPL title for the last two years, is also almost closed. Mumbai Indians are at the sixth position with 12 points. Rajasthan Royals is seventh with 10 points and Sunrisers Hyderabad with 6 points is at the last position in the table.

KL Rahul at the forefront

On Thursday, KL Rahul played an unbeaten innings of 98 against CSK. KL Rahul has gone ahead in the Orange Cap race due to this innings. Rahul managed to score 626 runs in this season. Du Plessis is second with 546 runs and Rituraj Gaikwad is third in the Orange Cap race with 533 runs.

Harshal Patel is much ahead than the rest of the bowlers in the Purple Cap race. Harshal Patel has taken 29 wickets in the 14th season of IPL. Avesh Khan is in second place with 22 wickets, while Bumrah has taken 19 wickets so far and is in third place.
