Kylian Mbappé pays tribute to Aymen, the teenager shot dead in Bondy

A few hours after scoring a brace on the Dijon lawn on Saturday afternoon (4-0), Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé paid a nice tribute on social networks to Aymen, the young teenager killed by bullet at Bondy the day before. Having grown up in this city of Seine Saint-Denis, the 22-year-old footballer wanted to react after this tragedy by providing his support to the relatives of the victim. “Rest in peace. My most sincere condolences to his loved ones”, notably tweeted the world champion.

The 15-year-old was in a neighborhood house when he was shot dead by a gunman in the street on Friday February 26 at around 5 p.m. “At this stage of the investigations, it appears that a dispute has been opposing the victim and his attackers for nearly a year without the origin being, for the time being, known”, said the public prosecutor of Bobigny in a press release. The two alleged perpetrators surrendered to police on their own on Saturday afternoon. The 17 and 27-year-old men are currently in police custody.

The Parisian has never hesitated to show his support to people in need or to speak out. During the match against Dijon on Saturday February 27, the striker also sent a personal message to Louïss, a young nine-year-old PSG supporter, suffering from cancer. On February 28, 2020 he also wrote a letter, published in The Players Tribune, addressed to young people in the suburbs in which he recalled the importance of dreaming. “In Bondy, in the 93, in the suburbs, there may not be a lot of money, it’s true. But we are dreamers. We were born like that, I think. Maybe because it doesn’t cost much to dream. In fact, it’s free. ” In January of the same year, he also launched his own association “Inspired by KM” through which he decided to support 98 (like his year of birth) girls and boys until they enter working life.
