Maruti recalls 1,81,754 vehicles, know the reason

New Delhi. Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has recalled 1,81,754 cars of different models, including Ciaz, Vitara Brezza and XL6, to replace faulty motor generators. MSI said in a statement to the stock exchange on Friday that being a responsible corporate company and keeping in mind the safety of the customers, Maruti Suzuki has decided to recall some petrol models of Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S Cross and XL6. has decided.

MSI said that the company has taken this decision to investigate the defects in 1,81,754 units of models manufactured between May 4, 2018 to October 27, 2020. Significantly, such campaigns are conducted globally to address potential security loopholes.

According to Maruti, “Keeping in view the interest of the customers, the company has decided to recall the affected vehicles for inspection and replacement of motor generator parts without any charges.” For this, the owners of the affected vehicles are being contacted, whose part replacement work will start from the first week of November, 2021. The company has requested customers to avoid driving in waterlogged areas till then.
