Maruti sold more than 2 lakh cars online in the Corona era


new Delhi. There has been a huge increase in online sales during the Corona era. The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has sold more than 2 lakh cars through online medium. This information has been given on Monday in a statement issued by the company. The company started its online sales platform 2 years ago. The company has connected about one thousand dealerships across the country with this digital platform.

Shashank Srivastava, executive director (marketing and sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said that the digital platform for vehicle sales was launched in the year 2018. He said that digital inquiries have increased three-fold. At the same time, our sales through the digital platform have crossed 2 lakh units since April, 2019.

Shrivastava said that the number of customer inquiries through the digital platform has reached 21 lakhs. He quoted the ‘Google Auto Gear Shift India-2020 Report’ as saying that 95 per cent of sales of new cars remain digitally affected.

It is worth mentioning that before purchasing any vehicle, customers visit the dealership only after obtaining complete information through online.
