Australia tour of West Indies 2021: Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc says that if regular captain Aaron Finch is not available for the three-match ODI series against West Indies, the team will support whoever takes his place.
Let us inform that Finch was injured while fielding during the last match of the five-match T20 series against West Indies and his playing in the ODI series is considered doubtful. In such a situation, the biggest question is who will be made the captain in the absence of Finch.
The Australian team has Alex Carey as a substitute, who took over as the vice-captaincy in the ODI series against India last year. The other options are Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques and Michelle Marsh.
Mitchell Starc said, “It’s a funny question. We have Alex Carey and Josh Hazlewood. Also Matthew Wade, he has captained before. Moises Henriques has also taken over the captaincy earlier.”
He further said, “Wade had said earlier that if the players know what their role is, then it becomes easier to captain in international cricket. If Finch does not feature in the ODI series, I am sure whoever will be the captain in his place.” Banega he will do well and we will all be with him.”
ODI series starting tomorrow
Let us inform that the three match ODI series between Australia and West Indies is starting from tomorrow. However, the match will start at 12 pm Indian time. In such a situation, the date here will be July 21. Similarly, the second ODI will be played on 22 July and the third ODI will be played on 24 July. Both these matches will also start at 12 pm Indian time.
