Modi will lay the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University

News Desk | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister will also address the people after the foundation stone laying. He will also visit the Aligarh node of Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor and the exhibition of models of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University. This university is being established in the honor of the great freedom fighter, educationist and social reformer Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. The university is being established on an area of ​​more than 92 acres in village Lodha and village Moosepur Karim Jarauli in Kol tehsil of Aligarh. 395 colleges of Aligarh block will be affiliated to this university.

The establishment of the Defense Industrial Corridor in Uttar Pradesh was announced by the Prime Minister while inaugurating the Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Conference held in Lucknow on February 21, 2018. Six nodes of the Defense Industrial Corridor – Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi and Lucknow have been planned. The land allotment process in respect of Aligarh-node has been completed and land has been allotted to 19 firms, which will invest Rs 1245 crore for its development. The Defense Industrial Corridor of Uttar Pradesh will help in making the country self-reliant in the field of defense production and promote ‘Make in India’. The Governor and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh will also be present on the occasion.
