Nestle India net profit jumps 5% to Rs 617 crore


New Delhi. Leading FMCG company Nestle India Limited reported a 5.15 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 617.37 crore during the third quarter (July-September). Nestle India said on Tuesday that the company’s profits have increased due to the rise in the domestic market.

Nestle India told the stock exchange that it had made a profit of Rs 587.09 crore in the same period a year ago. The company said its net sales grew 9.63 per cent to Rs 3,864.97 crore for the period under review, from Rs 3,525.41 crore in the year-ago period. During this period, Nestle’s domestic sales grew by 10.1 percent, while export sales grew by 1.30 percent. Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestle India said that once again in the third quarter, home sales across categories have grown in value terms in double digits. Nestle India is a subsidiary of Nestle of Switzerland and manufactures many products like Chocolate, Maggi, Milk Powder in India.
