New Delhi. Income Tax Department’s new web portal will be launched today, on which taxpayers will be able to submit their details online. The new portal of the Income Tax Department will be linked with the facility of instant processing of the details submitted, so that the process of tax refund can also be completed quickly.

Income Tax Department tweeted on Monday that www.incometax.gov.in portal (incometax.gov.in) will be available soon for the convenience of taxpayers. In our tweet, we are as excited about the new portal as our users. The Income Tax Department said that the new portal is in the final stages of roll-out, which will be available soon. For this we appreciate the patience of the taxpayers.
These will be important features in the new portal of Income Tax Department
The new web portal of the Income Tax Department will be able to process Income Tax Returns (ITR) instantly, so that the refund of taxpayers can be issued quickly.
All the interactions and upload or pending actions will be visible on a single dashboard so that the taxpayer can complete them.
Free ITR preparation software will be available both online and offline on the portal with interactive questions. So that taxpayers can easily file their ITR even if they are not aware of the tax.
All the information will be prefilled on the new portal of Income Tax Department, which will greatly reduce the data entry work of the taxpayers.

There will be a new call center to help the candidates, so that their questions will be answered immediately. Along with this, things like tutorials, videos and chatbots and live agents will also be in it.
-All major portal functions available on the desktop will also be available on the mobile app, with full access to the mobile network.
A new online tax payment system will be implemented on the portal, in which many new payment options will be given. There will be payment options especially like NetBanking, UPI, Credit Card, RTGS and NEFT. So that, taxpayers will be able to pay their tax from any bank.
Apart from this, CBDT is also going to launch a new tax payment system on June 18, 2021. The Income Tax Department will also release a mobile app after the launch of the new portal, so that the taxpayer will be able to familiarize with its various features. It is worth mentioning that the Income Tax Department had closed the facility of online ITR filing for the last one week from 1st to 6th June, 2021.
