Fuel prices in the country remained unchanged as OMC decided to wait and see the prevailing situation in the global oil markets before resuming daily revisions in petrol and diesel prices.
Sources indicated that price revisions could start anytime next week after the results of the state elections are declared. However, whether the price of petrol and diesel will go up or down will depend on the actual average global price in the last fortnight of March.
The OMC benchmarks are retail fuel prices for 15-day rolling averages of global refined products prices and dollar exchange rates.
