Petrol and diesel become costlier for the second consecutive day, in Delhi diesel crosses Rs 86

New Delhi. The continuous increase in crude oil in the international market has had an impact on the price of petrol and diesel in the domestic market. Public sector oil marketing companies have increased the prices of both the fuels for the second day in a row. After this hike, petrol became costlier by 28 paise and diesel by 27 paise per liter, due to which diesel has crossed Rs 86 per liter in Delhi on Monday.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 95.31, Rs 101.52, Rs 96.71 and Rs 95.28 per liter respectively in the four metros of the country, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, diesel prices in these metros have also jumped to Rs 86.22, Rs 93.98, Rs 90.92 and Rs 89.07 per liter respectively.

It is worth mentioning that in most of the developed countries of the world, the economy has started opening once again. Due to this, there is a possibility of increase in the price of crude oil for the third consecutive week. Brent crude was trading at $ 72.01 per barrel and WTI crude at $ 69.77 per barrel during early trade in Singapore today. Significantly, in the last 21 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 4.99 per liter and diesel by Rs 5.44 per liter.
