New Delhi. The effect of the rise in the price of crude oil in the international market is visible in the domestic market. Public sector oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol and diesel by 35-35 paise per liter respectively for the third consecutive day. With this, petrol in the capital Delhi reached Rs 106.89 per liter on Friday, while diesel has also gone up to Rs 95.62 per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 112.78, Rs 103.92 and Rs 107.44 per liter respectively in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, diesel prices jumped to Rs 103.68, Rs 99.92 and Rs 98.78 per liter respectively. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 5.70 per liter in the last 19 days, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 7.00 per liter in the last 22 days.

It is noteworthy that there is no hope of relief in the price of crude oil in the international market at the moment. During trading, Brent crude in the US market yesterday closed at $ 84.61 per barrel. At the same time, WTI crude reached $ 82.50 per barrel.
