Public sector oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol and diesel by 35 paise per liter for the fourth consecutive day. With this increase, petrol in the capital Delhi reached Rs 108.99 per liter and diesel at Rs 97.72 per liter on Saturday.
According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 114.81, Rs 105.74 and Rs 109.46 per liter respectively in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, the price of diesel has jumped to Rs 105.86, Rs 101.92 and Rs 100.84 per liter respectively. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.80 per liter in the last 25 days, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 9.10 per liter in 28 days.

It is noteworthy that the price of crude oil in the international market has reached close to $ 85. On Friday, the last trading day of the week, Brent crude in the US rose by $ 0.06 to close at $ 84.38 per barrel. At the same time, WTI crude also rose by $ 0.76 to reach $3.57 per barrel.
