Public sector oil marketing companies have again increased the prices of petrol and diesel after a day. With this hike, petrol became costlier by 25 paise and diesel by 25 paise per liter. Petrol in the capital Delhi on Wednesday was Rs 95.56, while diesel became Rs 86.47 per liter.
According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 101.76, Rs 96.94 and Rs 95.52 per liter in other metros of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata respectively. At the same time, the price of diesel in these metros has also jumped to Rs 93.85, Rs 91.15 and Rs 89.32 per liter respectively.

It is noteworthy that crude oil has been on a bullish path for the last four weeks. Brent crude was trending at $ 72.22 per barrel and WTI crude at $ 70.05 per barrel a day earlier in the international market. Significantly, in the last 22 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 5.24 per liter and diesel by Rs 5.69 per liter.
