New Delhi. Despite the softening of crude oil in the international market, the price of petrol and diesel continues to increase in the domestic market. Public sector oil marketing companies have increased the prices of both the fuels by 35-35 paise per liter respectively for the third day in a row. After this increase, the price of petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 108.64 per liter and diesel at Rs 97.37 per liter on Friday.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 114.47, Rs 105.43 and Rs 109.12 per liter respectively in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, the price of diesel has jumped to Rs 105.49, Rs 101.59 and Rs 100.49 per liter respectively. It is worth noting that within the last one month, petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.45 per liter, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 8.75 per litre.
It is noteworthy that due to increase in demand for crude oil and decrease in supply in the international market, its price continues to fluctuate. However, yesterday Brent crude was priced at $ 84.32 per barrel, while WTI crude prices rose marginally to $ 82.81 per barrel. Meanwhile, according to a report by Goldman, the price of Brent crude can go up to $110 next year.
