Public sector oil marketing companies did not change the prices of both the fuels on Sunday. Petrol in the capital Delhi remained at Rs 96.12 per liter on Sunday, while diesel remained at Rs 86.98 per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol is being available at Rs 102.30, Rs 97.43 and Rs 96.06 per liter in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata respectively. At the same time, diesel in these metros is also fixed at Rs 94.39, Rs 91.64 and Rs 89.83 per liter respectively. Significantly, in the last 24 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 5.80 per liter and diesel by Rs 6.20 per liter.
It is noteworthy that due to the increase in the demand of crude oil in the international market, its price has remained bullish. At the close of trading this week in the US market, Brent crude was at $ 72.69 per barrel, while WTI crude also settled at $ 70.91 per barrel.
