New Delhi. Despite the softening of crude oil prices in the international market, the prices of petrol and diesel remained stable in the domestic market on Thursday. Public sector oil companies have not made any change in the prices of both the fuels. On Thursday, petrol in the capital Delhi remains at Rs 95.56 per liter and diesel at Rs 86.47 per liter.
According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol is available at Rs 101.76, Rs 96.94 and Rs 95.52 per liter in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata respectively. At the same time, diesel is also being sold in these metros at the rate of Rs 93.85, Rs 91.15 and Rs 89.32 per liter respectively.

It is noteworthy that the market has softened slightly after four weeks due to adequate supply of crude oil in the international market. By the close of trading a day earlier, Brent crude was at $ 71.98 per barrel and WTI crude was at $ 69.67 per barrel. Significantly, in the last 22 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 5.24 per liter and diesel by Rs 5.69 per liter.
