Public sector oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol and diesel by 35 paise per liter for the fourth consecutive day. With this increase, petrol became more expensive on Saturday in the capital Delhi to Rs 107.24 per liter, while diesel also increased by 35 paise to Rs 95.97 per liter.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 113.12, Rs 104.22 and Rs 107.78 per liter respectively in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, the price of diesel jumped to Rs 104.00, Rs 100.25 and Rs 99.08 per liter respectively. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 6.05 per liter in the last 20 days, while diesel has also become costlier by Rs 7.35 per liter in the last 23 days.
It is noteworthy that the price of crude oil continues to rise in the international market. At the close of trading in the US market yesterday, while Brent crude rose by $ 0.92 to close at $ 85.53 a barrel, WTI crude rose by $ 1.09 to $ 82.50 a barrel.
