Public sector oil marketing companies have once again increased the price of petrol and diesel by 35-35 paise per liter. This is the fourth day when both the fuels have become costlier by 35 paise. With this, petrol in Delhi on Sunday reached Rs 105.84 per liter and diesel at Rs 94.57 per liter, while in Noida petrol crossed Rs 103 per liter.
According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol has increased to Rs 111.71, Rs 103.01 and Rs 106.43 per liter respectively in other metros of the country, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. At the same time, the price of diesel has also jumped to Rs 102.52, Rs 98.92 and Rs 97.68 per liter respectively. With this, petrol has reached Rs 103 per liter and diesel at Rs 95.21 per liter in Noida.

It is noteworthy that petrol has become costlier by Rs 4.65 per liter in the last 16 days, while diesel has become costlier by Rs 6 per liter in the last 19 days. At the same time, on the last trading day of the week, Brent crude rose by $ 0.86 to $ 84.86 a barrel in the US market, while WTI crude was up $ 0.97 to settle at $ 82.28 per barrel. This is the sixth consecutive week, while crude oil closed up in the international market. This is also affecting petrol and diesel in the domestic market.
