Berlin | Germany’s luxury automobile company Porsche has announced that Android Auto will be available for the first time in the new cars that come next with the 2022 Porsche 911.
The company announced changes for the 2022 Porsche 911 model, including upgrades to the car’s comfort and communication systems.
The company said in a blogpost, “Wireless and wired Apple CarPlay continues to be included and will be rolled out with a trial period. Android Auto will also be available in the new Porsche vehicle for the first time.”
The new model will also see an expansion of connected services, which will result in the adoption of the latest generation of Porsche Communications Management (PCM) through a combination of 10.9-inch touchscreen display, navigation, entertainment, comfort and communication systems.
The update system will also mark the extension of the trial period for three-year services, extending over the current one-year period.
After initial testing, the services will be subscription based.
These would include Porsche Connect for three years. Porsche Connect includes a range of useful, convenient services and great features.
