Chennai . Two-wheeler maker Eicher Motors Ltd on Monday announced the roll out of around 26,300 units of its Classic 350 model between September 1 and December 5 to fix an issue with the rear drum brake. In the statement, the company said that its technical team found a problem with the brake reaction bracket used on the rear drum brakes of 2021 single channel ABS and Classic 350 motorcycles.
“Under specific riding conditions, it was found that an exceptionally high braking load applied to the rear brake pedal could potentially cause damage to the reaction bracket, leading to a possible drop in further abnormal braking efficiency,” the company said.
According to Eicher Motors, the issue has been addressed with single-channel ABS, rear drum brakes on the Classic 350 model, which is manufactured between September 1, 2021 and December 5, 2021.
As a precaution, Eicher Motors has decided to call 26,300 single-channel ABS and rear-drum-brake capable Classic 350 model and strengthen the brake reaction bracket of the swing arm for all units. (IANS)
