Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti tested positive for Covid-19 in the PCR test carried out before the LOSC reception, his club announced on Friday April 2. The Italian was already forfeited this match and uncertain for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern. Placed in solitary confinement, he will miss the shock in Munich.
While he had already tested positive for Covid-19 at the end of last January, Marco Verratti was again tested positive during the last PCR test carried out by the PSG players before the reception of the LOSC this Saturday. He will therefore have to respect the isolation provided for by the health protocol, and will miss the match against Bayern Munich, Wednesday April 7, at 9 p.m., in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Italian midfielder was already forfeited against LOSC with a contusion to his left thigh, but he was uncertain about the trip to Bavaria. This new positive test will force him to withdraw.
Besides Marco Verratti, Danilo Pereira (contusion in the left calf), Juan Bernat (in recovery phase), Alexandre Letellier (in recovery phase), Layvin Kurzawa (in calf muscle pain) and Mauro Icardi (in recovery phase) are unavailable for the match against Lille.
