PV Sindhu Reached The Quarter-Finals: In the women’s singles of Indonesia Open 2021, India’s PV Sindhu defeated Germany’s Yvonne Li in straight games to enter the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Sindhu, the third seed of the event, put up a fine performance against Yvonne Lee to win the match 21-12, 21-18 in just 37 minutes. With this, Sindhu has reached the quarter-finals. In the quarterfinals, Sindhu will face the winner of the match between Sim Yu-jin of South Korea and Beatriz Corrales of Spain.

After the initial exchange in the first game, both the players played well. During this, Sindhu maintained a two-point lead at 6-4 and managed to win the game 21-12 with seven consecutive points.

In the second game, Yuon Lee did better and continued to chase Sindhu in terms of points. Meanwhile, 26-year-old Sindhu of Hyderabad won her second game, taking the lead.
