material :

One cup rava (semolina)
2 tablespoons Urad Dal (without peel)
An onion finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
Half a cup of capsicum finely chopped (if desired)
One tablespoon roasted peanuts (if desired)
Finely chopped ginger half teaspoon
Half a cup of carrots peeled and chopped
Half a cup of green peas
Half a teaspoon mustard
5 to 6 curry leaves
Salt to taste
Oil as per need

How to make Rava Upma

Heat the oil in the pan on the gas. Add the tempering of mustard and curry leaves. Now add urad dal and fry it on medium flame for one minute. Then add onion and ginger. Cook until the onions turn golden. Now add peas, carrots, capsicum, peanuts, green chilies and salt. Cover the pan and cook the vegetables on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Then add water to the pan. Now add rava (semolina) and cook it on medium heat. When the water dries completely and the rava is puffed up properly, stir it for a minute. Now turn off the gas. Rava (semolina) upma is ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
