Sam Karan is disappointed because of not playing in IPL, told what was the right decision of life

England all-rounder Sam Curran, who is recovering from a back injury, says he is disappointed to miss the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season but feels his decision to pull out of the auction was the right one. Karan said that it might have been too early for him to come back as he is recovering from the most serious injury of his career.

Karan, who has played for Chennai Super Kings, said, “I am disappointed that I am not playing. It is disappointing to watch it (IPL) sitting at home. I wanted to participate in the auction, but in the end I didn’t, which was probably the best decision. Looking back, the IPL might have been a bit early.

The 23-year-old left-arm medium pacer suffered a ‘stress fracture’ in his lower back during the second leg of the IPL in October last year.

“I definitely want to go back to IPL at some stage because you learn a lot about your T20 game there. This is a tournament where you only talk and learn about cricket. If you go to breakfast in the morning, you are sitting with the superstar and talking about the game.

He looks to do well in Surrey’s County Championship opening match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston next week, while focusing on securing his place in the squad for the Test series against New Zealand in June and the T20 World Cup in Australia in October. Would have felt
