Seoul Samsung Electronics will allow small local companies to use their royalty-free technologies to the maximum. The information was given by the Ministry of Industry there on Friday.
Now small firms including 213 mobile and 68 semiconductor patents, trade, industry and energy will be able to encash 505 cases of Samsung without paying royalties.
The ministry said, “The transfer of technologies from coaglomerates to small and medium-sized companies will help overcome the difficulties posed by the ‘Kovid epidemic.”

According to a report by the Yonhap news agency, since 2013, South Korea has been operating a program that inspires large companies to share technologies with smaller companies.
Earlier this year, SK Group, which includes No. 2 chipmaker SK Hynic Inc., also shared 75 different technologies with 53 small businesses under the program.
South Korea plans to share its patents with small businesses in the second half to other industry leaders, including Posco and Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Company.
