New Delhi: A priest working at the Kodavalur Shiva temple in Nellore district on Saturday got stuck in flood waters triggered by heavy rains across Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, Traffic Circle Inspector Mr. Naik intervened in time to save the life of that person.
Pujari was riding his bike on the Venkateswarapuram bridge when he drowned in the flood waters and started shouting for help, when a traffic police officer posted nearby, in the event of a flash flood, helped Pujari by using a rope. Saved without delay.

Meanwhile, the Nayaka continued to encourage the priest despite the rapid flow of flood waters through him. When Mr. Naik reached the priest, he held him tightly and made sure not to let go of the rope. After escaping from the flood waters, the priest got upset. Where it was revealed that Director General of Police Gautam Sawang also praised Nayak’s efforts. Andhra Pradesh Police tweeted, “DGP Gautam Sawang appreciates the bravery and rescue shown by Traffic CI in fulfilling his duty in service of the people and saving one life.”
