Let us know that a hearing will be heard today in the Supreme Court in the loan moratorium case. During the earlier hearing, it was said by the petitioner that during the corona, the credit score of the people has been greatly affected. Due to which future payment possibilities will also be affected.

On the previous hearing, the Supreme Court adjourned the case till December 2. During this time, the Supreme Court had said that banks can follow the normal rules of business. On the other hand, the Government of India has opposed raising the loan moratorium again.

According to the information, the Moratorium Scheme was implemented from March to August this year in view of the decrease in income of the people due to corona. Under this, people were given exemption to defer the outstanding installments on bank loans. The complaint of the beneficiaries of the scheme was that now banks are charging extra interest on the outstanding amount, which is not good.

The court had asked the question on the matter. After this, the government decided not to charge interest on interest for loans up to 2 crore. This included small and medium-scale business loans, education loans, home loans, loans for consumer goods, credit card dues, car-two-wheeler loans and personal loans up to 2 crore.
