At the time of today’s closing bell, the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) Sensex was at the level of 55,468.90 with a loss of 778.38 points. At the same time, Nifty of NSE (National Stock Exchange) closed today’s closing at 16,605.95 with a loss of 187.95. The Sensex was down 1.38% as against Nifty’s decline of 1.12%.

The Sensex had opened today with a loss of 617.98 points at the level of 55,629.30. In today’s trading, the entire time market was in loss. In today’s day, the highest and lowest level of Sensex stood at 55,755.09 and 55,020.10 respectively. Nifty touched a high of 16,678.50 and a low of 16,478.65 in today’s day.
Talking about the sectoral index, today’s worst performing sector was Nifty Auto and the best performing sector was Nifty Metal. Among sectors, auto and banking indices fell 2 per cent each, while metal and power stocks saw buying.
