Today on Tuesday, February 22, both the indices of the Indian stock market closed with losses. The BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) Sensex closed today at 57,300.68 with a loss of 382.91 points. NSE (National Stock Exchange) Nifty closed today with a loss of 114.45 points at the level of 17,092.20. In today’s trade, the Sensex closed at 0.66% loss as against Nifty’s loss of 0.67%.
The market did not trade at a positive level even once in today’s day. Today’s highest level in the Sensex was 57,505.85 and the lowest level was 56,394.85. Today’s highest level in Nifty was 17,148.55 and the lowest level was 16,843.80.

Talking about the sectoral index, Nifty Energy was the best sector today with a loss of 0.03%. All sectoral indices closed in the red with IT, Metal, Oil & Gas, Capital Goods, FMCG, Realty and PSU Bank indices falling 1-3 per cent. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices fell 0.7-1.6 per cent each.
