Share market today: Market crashed on the last day of the financial year, Sensex fell 115 points

Mumbai. In the last trading day of the financial year 2021-22, today most of the selling trading took place in the Indian stock market. In today’s entire trading time, the market traded at negative level and eventually the closing also turned negative.

Today, at the time of closing bell of March 31, the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) Sensex was trading at a level of 58,568.51 with a loss of 115.48 points. NSE (National Stock Exchange) Nifty closed today with a loss of 33.50 points at the level of 17,464.75. Nifty fell 0.19% against Sensex’s 0.20% in today’s trade.

At the time of today’s opening bell, the Sensex was at 58,779.71 with a gain of 95.72 points. Nifty opened today with a gain of 20.95 points at the level of 17,519.20. In today’s trading day, Nifty’s highest and lowest levels were 17,559.80 and 17,435.20 respectively. Today’s highest and lowest level in Sensex stood at 58,890.92 and 58,485.79 respectively.

The best and worst sectors in the sectoral index are Nifty FMCG and Nifty Pharma respectively. Among sectors, FMCG and realty ended in the green while pharma, IT and PSU banks saw selloff. Midcap and smallcap indices closed in the green.

Top 5 gainers in Sensex today were Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and Bharti Airtel. At the same time, the top 5 stocks that suffered the most in today’s day are – Reliance, Dr Reddy, Wipro, Maruti and Ultra Tech.
