South African players to be available for IPL 2022, ruled out of Test series against Bangladesh

IPL 2022, South Africa Cricketers: South Africa has not picked players from the Indian Premier League (IPL) in its 15-man Test squad for the two-match home series against Bangladesh starting March 31. South Africa will go into this series without fast bowlers like Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Marco Janssen and batsmen like Aiden Markram and Rasi van der Dussen, who preferred IPL over this Test series.

Middle-order batsman Khaya Zondo has got a place in the Test team for the first time. The team also includes a new face in the form of fast bowler Darin Dupavillon. Meanwhile, Enrique Nortje was unavailable for selection due to back and hip pain. His playing in the IPL is also doubtful in which he is a part of Delhi Capitals.

South Africa’s squad for the test series against Bangladesh is as follows-

Dean Elgar (Captain), Temba Bavuma (Vice-Captain), Darin Dupavillon, Sarel Irvi, Simon Harmer, Keshav Maharaj, Viaan Mulder, Duane Olivier, Keegan Pietersen, Ryan Rickelton, Lutho Cipmala, Glenton Stuurman, Kyle Verne (WK), Lizad Williams and Khaya Jondo.

IPL 2022 is starting from 26 March

Significantly, IPL 2022 is starting from 26 March. The first match of the 15th season will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. This time a total of 10 teams are participating in IPL instead of eight. In such a situation, it is believed that this league is going to be even more exciting. The final match of the tournament will be played on May 29.
